Peabody Heights Brewery plans to level up with new arcade
North central Baltimore’s Peabody Heights Brewery is adding a retro video recreation arcade, which they count on to be done and open up to the general public by the stop of the yr.
Funded in part by a $1.2 million financial loan from the Maryland Section of Housing and Neighborhood Development’s Neighborhood BusinessWorks method, Peabody Heights Brewery will be repurposing 2,000 sq. ft of their existing area to encompass the arcade, an event place, and a partial performance phase.
The brewery’s arcade will be property to everywhere from 60 to 80 retro online video video games, boasting some original arcade titles that no other arcades in the region can present. Some of the predicted video clip video games involve “Galaga,” “Initial D1,” “Initial D4,” “Dance, Dance, Revolution,” “Pump It Up!,” and “Time Crisis 2.”
All game titles will be provided by Preserve Position Online games, who are Peabody Heights Brewery’s companion in the arcade enterprise. The brewery has been in talks with Help save Stage for the past two many years to acquire the arcade area.

In accordance to O’Keefe, Peabody Heights has been in discussion with the Maryland Division of Housing and Community Development’s Neighborhood BusinessWorks plan about refinancing earlier financial debt. Ninety percent of the $1.2 million financial loan will go toward restructuring the brewery’s property finance loan to match curiosity fees from early 2022.
Along with the arcade, the remainder of the mortgage will go to refurbishments to the brewery’s bogs and taproom.
